The bridge over the stream Scesta is sited nearby Palleggio, in the town of Bagni di Lucca. It is a round-arched footbridge crossing the narrow gorge of the stream near the ancient cemetery. The bridge was built in sandstone by local masons, during 14th century. Marks of the following reconstructions of the bridge are clearly visible.

It has a mediocre state of conservation and part of the parapet on the North side has collapsed.
