Realized in the first sixties, it has been solemnly inaugurated on 1963, in occasion of the celebrations of 4th November.
In the sixties, it has been created a town committee to follow the phases of realization of the monument to Fallen.
The author of the monument is unknown.
The typology of the work, memorial stone surmounted by a cross, with commemorative tombstone on the front of the monument, has many analogies with the memorial stone of San Donnino. We can say that the author, or the company which has made the two stones, could be the same, or we can suppose that the memorial stone of San Donnino, previously made, has been used as model for the monument of Cogna.
