The building is a private property and cannot be visited inside.
The building documents the peculiar typology for the villas in Viareggio and its framework is characterised by a considerable vertical upsurge which spans three floors. The project, which has been conserved at the town archives, features the sketches of the ceramic decoration on the top floor and the blank window. The feature which styles the architectonic structure is its ceramic decoration. Below the eaves small cupids surrounded by detailed floral decoration can be seen. The panel on the first floor depicts a feminine figure, the favourite subject of the Liberty style.
With its immobility the figure takes on the appearance of a caryatid outlined by detailed and stylised floral decoration which recalls Klimt's production at the Viennese Secession.

The realisation of the villa bears witness to the systematic cooperation between Galileo Chini with the master builders and the local designers, so that the Chini kilns in Borgo San Lorenzo were able to produce wide-ranging samples of tiles destined for architecture and cabinet-making. A copy of the ceramic panel was presented by Chini in 1914 at the Venice Biennale in the hall dedicated to the sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
The building, like others from the same period ( the small "Il Guscio" and l'Amore villas), was designed by the master builder Demetrio Petrucci who proved, among others such as Oreste Lenci and Serafino Ramaciotti, to be among the most renowned and appreciated local designers.
