BargaJazz
Born in 1986, the festival has always had its center in the arranging and composition contest and in the Bargajazz Orchestra. The aim of the competition was and is to give young composers and arrangers the opportunity to have their works performed by a professional orchestra and this in order to stimulate their production. In the years BargaJazz has become an important milestone in the career of many jazz writers for European orchestra.
Over time, the contest formula has been accompanied by many other side initiatives and BargaJazz has become a great festival with concerts and events going on for over one week.
