Radical minds-radical design is one of the many exhibitions taking place in various locations in Pietrasanta marking the larger event “Homo faber- the mind and the hand”.
Radical Minds is on show at MUSA (Multi-media Museum of Sculpture and Architecture) from its inauguration on Friday 14 June until 21 July, shortly after the other exhibitions.
The exhibition showcases the most radical and innovative aspects of young talented artists from the 60s and the 70s who lived in an era marked by change, experimentation, evolution and the need for freedom from tradition, revolutionising the paradigms and languages of architecture, art and design.
The exhibition includes objects, projects, drawings, maquettes, photographs and short films by architects, designers, individual artists and groups such as Archizoom, Nigel Coates, Gianni Pettena, Andrea Salvetti, Ettore Sottsass, Superstudio, and UFO.
The UFO group will be first on show with “the inflatable Anas House”
The exhibition Radical Minds-Radical Design is accompanied by a programme of audiovisual showings entitled “Scolpire il Tempo” (Sculpting Time) .
The exhibition is open to the public from Thursday to Sunday 18:30 – 23:30.
