Once again, the Botanical Garden of Lucca will come alive with good music on this year’s hot summer nights.
The 2013 edition of “Tree Songs” features a series of concerts of not only classical, jazz and Balkan music, but also opera and African beats, with the backdrop of the Botanical Garden just within the town walls.
The festival is promoted as a cultural meeting point, fostering the relationship between music, nature and culture and involving audiences of all ages and with a wide range interests.
The next concert is on 21 June at 21.30:
The flute and Eastern Europe
Music by B. Bartok and S. Prokofiev
Filippo Rogai, flute – Fabrizio Datteri, piano
organised by the Boccherini Institute.
This year sees the introduction of guided visits (also available in English) to the concerts:
Each Friday, the wonders of the Garden can be visited from 18.30 with tickets costing 3 euro, also valid for the concerts at 21.30 (admission free for those under 14 and over 65 years of age).
