For this year’s summer season of “INCONTRI”, the cultural association Terra di Viareggio has programmed 8 free evenings, between 5 July and 10 August, to recall, pay homage and re-examine aspects of the area’s local history.

For the entire duration of the period, there is also an accompanying exhibition entitled “Love never dies” on Don Aldo Mei, the Lucca-born priest shot 4 August 1944 by the Nazis, and on the civil resistance to Nazi-fascism by the Lucca clergy.

Organised by the Historical Institute of the Resistance and Contemporary Era of the Provincial Authorities of Lucca.
