“The Memory of Stone” is the last of three exhibitions forming part of the series “Light Matter” at the Virtual Museum of Sculpture and Architecture in Pietrasanta.
This, the concluding exhibition of three on the work of Versilian artisans, finds both continuation and conclusion to that developed in the first two shows.
Through 46 video interviews, 10 portraits and 18 poetical video installations, “The Memory of Stone” plays homage to the marble carvers, mosaic makers, clay, iron and metal workers, printers, goldsmiths and workers in oil mills and bathing establishments.
The exhibition is open 7 September to 6 October, Thursday to Sunday, 17.30 – 22.30. Last week only 16.30 – 20.30.
