Saturday 26 April, 21.00, the SPE of the Tenuta dello Scompiglio hosts “I like Mozart”; a concert, performed by some of Lucca’s top musicians, that celebrates childhood and imagination – important elements in the life of the great Salzburg born composer.
The programme, which never strays from the light tones of play and irony, features: “Quintet in A major for clarinet and strings K.581” by W. A. Mozart; “Humorous duet for two cats” by G. Rossini; “Contino variations”, a special tribute by Michele Dall’Ongaro to the Maestro which introduces the famous “Le Carnaval des Animaux”, by C. Saint-Saëns in a playful way, almost as if they were two parts of the same tale.

The performance forms part of the “Mozart, così fan tutti” season, a project directed by Antonio Caggiano centred around the great Salzburg born musician and composer, with a series of events in the spaces of the Tenuta Dello Scompiglio and various locations around the town of Lucca until autumn 2014.
