The inauguration of the exhibition “ARTinCLUB 2”, organised in collaboration with the Mercurio Contemporary Art Gallery in Viareggio, will be held at 18.30 Saturday 7 June at the Residenza d’Epoca Hotel Club I Pini in Lido di Camaiore.
The exhibition consists of a series of recent oil paintings by the artist Riccardo Corti.
The Florentine painter has an unmistakable style, with his depictions of elegiac pine trees, cross-sections of polychrome citrus fruits, imaginative seascapes and little sticks suspended in mid-air. The refined shading combines with the dynamic elegance of the forms, to give life to a poetic, other than synthetic, pictorial language.
The initiative ARTinCLUB, now in its second year, aims to provide the public with a cultural offer that matches contemporary art with the refined feel of the Liberty style villa, renovated without altering its original feel. It contains numerous works by Chini, painter and ceramicist who commissioned its construction.
The exhibition, curated by Gianni Costa, is open every day, from 18.30 to 23.30, until 28 September 2014.
