“Come in un paesaggio”, exhibition of work by the painter Guido Morelli, will be inaugurated Sunday 15 June, 18.00, at the Foyer of the ‘Giacomo Puccini’ Grand Theatre.
The artist – born in La Spezia in 1967, but long resident in the province of Piacenza – boasts a rich artistic career, with numerous exhibitions throughout Italy and abroad.
This exhibition presents a series of recent large canvases; material-oriented oil paintings, that show succinct natural landscapes. Morelli’s paintings are ‘mental’, in which memory plays an important part; the artist concentrates on the psychological language of the painting, departing from the descriptive aspects and aiming for a pure fusion of colour and luminosity.
The exhibition, with a brochure written by Elisa Bozzi, runs until 14 July: Monday to Friday, 10.00 – 13.30 / 15.00 – 18.00; Sunday, 18.00 – 19.30.
