For some time contemporary art has increasingly been drawn to the theme of invincible comic book heroes. The exhibition “superheroes 2.0” brings together the works of over thirty Italian and international artists who express their personal view of the world of superheroes.
Irony, fun, disenchantment and even a touch of provocation lie at the base of the artistic fantasies this show unleashes; from a Superman with shopping bags to a putto dressed as Robin, from reinterpretations in the style of pop art to epic or dark scenes.
A myriad of styles and materials make an appearance in this exhibition on show at Villa Bertelli from 5 to 21 July and the Gestalt Gallery from 12 July to 31 August.
The exhibition, curated by Silvia Fabbri, shows work by: Dario Arcidiacono, David Bacter, Matteo Basilé, Sara Baxter, Paolo Buggiani, Massimo Caccia, Felipe Cardeña, Paolo Cassarà, Antonio Cugnetto, Dast, Antonio De Luca, Francesco De Molfetta, Desiderio, Nicola Di Caprio, Dorian X, Fidia Falaschetti, Simone Fazio, Max Ferrigno, Massimo Festi, Alex Folla, Franko B, Giampaolo Frizzi, Stefano Gentile, Massimo Giacon, Robert Gligorov, Svitlana Grebenyuk, Hiroto Kitagawa, Elia Mantovan, Stefano Mezzaroma, Anna Muzi, Tomoko Nagao, Ozmo Pao, Max Papeschi, Domenico Pellegrino, Gianluca Sbrana, Elena Trailina, Tvboy, Giuseppe Veneziano, Stefano Zattera, Andrea Zucchi.
