Fuggenti Eterne Vibrazioni - la scultura ondeggiante di Eros Morandini / Fuggenti Eterne Vibrazioni - the undulating sculpture of Eros Morandini

From Friday 18 July to 31 January, the sculpture exhibition “Fuggenti eterne vibrazioni” (Fleeting eternal vibrations) by Giorgio Eros Morandini and promoted by the Open One Art Gallery in Pietrasanta and the Terre Medicee Foundation, will be on show at the Palazzo Mediceo di Seravezza (UNESCO heritage site).

The exhibition consists of eight sculptures in white Carrara marble, Belgian black marble and black granite, conceived and designed by the artist for the external space of Palazzo Mediceo and one in Piazza Carducci in the old town of Seravezza. These works capture the style of Morandini, whose abstract sculptures are centred around the themes of waves and wind, and form a strong relationship with the building’s imposing 16th century architecture. In this way, a suggestive and intriguing antithetic dialogue is created between the verticality, linearity and mighty architectonic structures with the horizontality and lightness of the soft lines of these sculptures in play with the essentiality of the black and white chromaticism.

Besides the waves, the exhibits include a wind door and cube leading from the lawn in front of the façade of Palazzo Mediceo to the inner courtyard entrance, engaging with the well and part of the portico to create a kind of external and internal, horizontal and vertical, and black and white visual journey.
