The 20th edition of the literary festival LuccAutori, in connection with the 13th edition of the Racconti nella Rete Award, will be held in Lucca from 4 to 12 October.
For the first time, it also hosts the award ceremony of the competition “Il Gran Me e il piccolo me”, a review of therapeutic poetry conceived by the poet Cinzia Dipace, with the sponsorship of the literary contest “racconti nella rete”.
“[…] An original award that springs from the desire of giving a voice to those who often lack one. Disability does not mean “diversity” in feeling, but quite the opposite. The title, inspired by the famous text by Luigi Pirandello, is dedicated to those who – not by choice – spend many hours alone, almost abandoned, at the margins of a society that is in too much of a hurry. In some cases their silent “Cries” become poetry.[…]” (press release)
The award ceremony of “Il Gran Me e il piccolo me”, will mark the conclusion of the festival LuccAutori, 12 October at Villa Bottini.
Deadline for entries 30 September.

LuccAutori was born in 1994: the “Incontri Letterari”, with Romano Battaglia, Arrigo Petacco and Marisa Volpi, took place in the palazzo Ducale and in the Casermetta San Pietro. In the years many important authors took part to the meetings. We recall among others Alda Merini, Alain Elkann, Andrea Pinketts, Younis Tawfik, Francesco Alberoni, Claudio Fracassi, Walter Veltroni, Maurizio Maggiani. In 2002 the contest “Racconti nella rete” was joined to the meetings. The contest tries the use of the Internet to publish the works of emergent authors.
