“Pioneers, Heroes, Legend”: the Western adventure comes to life in Porcari

From 26 October 2014 to 24 January 2015, it will be possible to experience life in the wild West, thanks to an themed exhibition at Palazzo di Vetro (Lazzareschi Foundation) in Porcari.

“The adventure of the West: Pioneers, Heroes, Legend“ is an exhibition that opens with the themed setting “gold miners” and proceeds through the wagons of the pioneers with bison hunting equipment. It winds through shop windows full of clothes and Native jewellery, scaled models with historical reconstructions, and finishes with the cartoons and feature length films that made the adventures of the American far west so legendary.

The exhibition, which contains numerous pieces from private collections, also boasts a catalogue with colour photos of the exhibits, a documentary-film, scientific interventions by experts in the field and themed evenings.

The inauguration takes place Sunday 26 October with performances, music and open-air representations that recreate a traditional western village.
