Vittorio Sgarbi, art critic and historian, will give a lectio magistralis entitled “La prima volta di Ilaria”, Sunday 23 November at 6pm, at the Church of San Francesco, in the old town centre of Lucca.
Sgarbi sheds light on the emotional/emotioning aspect of Ilaria del Carretto, recounting the first time he saw the work, when he was totally awe struck and fascinated by it.
The meeting is part of the series “Conversations in San Francesco – Ilaria and the others (or rather of eternal beauty)“. The evening, with free admission and limited places, will be introduced by the art critic Sergio Risaliti.
