Tenuta dello Scompiglio: “Musikautomatik”

Saturday 13 December at 21.00 in the SPE of the Tenuta dello Scompiglio presents:

“Musikautomatik”

a musical journey inspired by the multiple aspects of mechanical sound reproduction, with different pieces from different periods and instruments that evoke that Mozart and other great composers from the past had for the phenomenon of automatism in music.

With the percussionist instruments of Ars Ludi Antonio Caggiano, Alessandro Di Giulio, Pietro Pompei, Gianluca Manfredonia, Rodolfo Rossi, Gianluca Ruggeri, the oboe and saxophones of Mario Arcari and the keyboards and piano of Lucio Perotti. Music by Rota-Catalano, Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart and Karlheinz Stockhausen.

In “Musikautomatik” the stage is transformed into one great musical instrument, like a big carillon, where with marimbas, vibraphones, xylophones, sound boxes, glass harmonica, pianoforte, keyboard, bells, tubular bells, celesta, small bells, steel drum and toy piano, music from various eras comes to life, that see mechanical sound reproduction at their centre. The concert concludes the project “Mozart, così fan tutti”, that the Cultural Association Dello Scompiglio dedicated to the great Salzburg composer with events and concerts in the Tenuta Dello Scompiglio and the town of Lucca.
