From 18 December to 14 March, the Palazzo Mansi National Museum will host the exhibition “Raffaello Isola (1897-1955), a Lucca painter between the two wars“.
The exhibition includes a large number of oil paintings and drawings which retrace the entire career of the painter from Lucca.
Admiring these works it is easy to recognise the recurrent themes of the artist and the alternative viewpoint from which he examines them, the cultural influences of the time and the places he lived in (Egypt and Wales, for example), the skills acquired over time and the various techniques explored. In other words, his entire artistic career is covered in this exhibition, with free admission and the following hours:
from Tuesday to Friday 9.30-12.30;
Saturday 9.30-12.30 and 15.00-18.00.
Inauguration Wednesday 17 December at 17.00
