DonnaScultura 2015 – Pietrasanta

DonnaScultura, is the exhibition conceived by the Pietrasanta Town Council Arts and Culture Office, curated by Chiara Celli and Valentina Fogher. Every year it hosts four artists that tell us about their personal and artistic experience through their work.

 Now in its XIII edition, this year’s exhibition showcases 4 protagonists: French Christine Madies, Italian Mara Moschini, Argentinian Flavia Robalo and German Eva Steiner.

The exhibition, inaugurated Sunday 15 February in the Cloister of Sant’Agostino, is open from Tuesday to Sunday (and public holidays) until 15 March, hours 16.00 – 19.00.

“The exhibition provides the opportunity to learn about four different stories, four languages and four art forms. One common denominator; the bond with Pietrasanta, town where they have chosen to work and at times live. Figurative or abstract; the four artists present their expression with the most representative work of their artistic journey. One, in particular, will be analysed in more depth; from the original idea to the the sketch to the finished artwork. What are the themes? In which life stage were the works created? What approach does each artist adopt with their materials? Questions the four artists will answer through their work in the Cloister of Sant’Agostino with a spontaneous conversation directed to the audience.” (Press Release)

As usual, the exhibition will be accompanied by the DonnaEventi meetings, promoted by the Town Council Office for Equal Opportunities, this year dedicated to the theme: DonnaImpegno.
