The inauguration of “As you like it”, the exhibition by the painter Daniela Caciagli is on Saturday 7 March 2015 at 17.00, at the concept store Vela Massimo Rebecchi in piazza dei Mercanti 2 in Lucca.
On show a series of recent oils and acrylics.
Daniela Caciagli’s work unites, with originality, elements from Pop and Hyperrealism, taking, for example, inspiration from illustration advertising and comic book art. The artist creates imaginative associations of fragments of daily life, merging the space-time references. The use of colours is vibrant; colour is the authentic generator of form, the model and the control to develop a far from banal reflection on the inscrutable destiny that characterises every human being.
Daniela Caciagli – born in Bibbona (Li) in 1962 – boasts a successful artistic career, with numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2007 and 2010 she was a finalist for the ‘Arte Mondadori’ Award in Milan. In 2012 she was chosen by the Public Enterprise ‘Artkomas’ in Vilnius to represent Italian Art in Lithuania, with a series of exhibitions in the Museums of the main Lithuanian towns. [Press office]
