The idea of dedicating an exhibition to the Tuscan design, arises from the initiative Small Big Museums 2015. Tuscany 900. Museums and Paths of Art, supported by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca.
The exhibit, cured by Gianni Pettena, Davide Turrini and Mauro Lovi, shows the productive realities, which have been rooted on the Tuscan territory and which have
contributed to the contemporary image of the Italian design in the world.
The exhibition, through the works of important Italian and international designers, underlines the fundamental role of the productive realities of the region, pointing out the capability of selecting and attracting talents, above all from the world of art and architecture, and in defining with them the project and the realization of objects of everyday life. The show is articulated among several areas of production: interior design, china, pottery, glass, silver and crystal objects, marble design and graphic.
