Artistic journeys intertwine in the exhibition: “I can reach you (from one to many)”

The opening of the exhibition “I can reach you (from one to many)”, by Bianco-Valente, Claudia Losi and Valerio Rocco Orlando, curated by Daria Filardo, Pietro Gaglianò and Angel Moya Garcia, is on Saturday 3 October, from 16.00 to 19.30, at the Tenuta Dello Scompiglio in Vorno (Lucca).

The project reflects on the linguistic, emotive, relational and political level of meeting. The artists involved, through reflection on gestures, forms, actions, responsibility and perspectives, have intersected their trajectories in a project which runs from October 2015 to March 2016 with works conceived during various periods of residence at the Tenuta Dello Scompiglio.

The works are all closely linked to the context in which they appear, but point towards a larger horizon, from a reflection on place, feeling of belonging and physical, mental and imaginative passing through of the spaces.

The artists present a variety of projects, that evolve over time and extend beyond the Tenuta:

• Bianco-Valente presents an environmental installation, on the resonances that all entities have between them and how these interact with or influence our relationships.

• Claudia Losi explores the landmarks met along a walk ending at the Scompiglio. Places that due to their physical characteristics or particular events, even remote, that occurred there, have become places of reference, points of geographical-emotive density. “The idea is that these landmarks are often created by us, from the experience that we have of a place, and of passing through it”.

• Valerio Rocco Orlando, after a workshop on pilgrimage as a travelling idea and hospitality as a relational moment, creates an itinerant structure that moves to different locations on via francigena, producing and leaving traces of its passage.
