“QUALCOSA SI MUOVE” (SOMETHING’S MOVING) is the title of the new season of SPAM! , running from 9 October to 27 December. An edition full of dance, music and theatre.
Maybe it’s true, “Something’s moving”, or rather, something is starting to move. On the one hand, it seems that the theatre and dance public are increasingly looking for performances which produce a sense, and on the other, many ‘niche’ authors are beginning to address the problem of appealing to a wider audience than has been the case. In fact, many authors are starting to attempt contemporary popular performance, far removed from the stereotypes of mass entertainment, but capable of reaching a wider audience, or in other words, theatre which engages intelligence without neglecting the need to be entertaining. This tendency includes the autumn season of SPAM! with a programme of 16 events distributed between Porcari and Ponte a Moriano. […] In Ponte a Moriano the programme features three comic performances. In Porcari there are two locations: the Vincenzo da Massa Carrara Auditorium, where there will be be two shows intended for families and schools; and SPAM! where the programme mainly focusses on contemporary dance […]
