The great names of culture are found in Lucca. From culture to urban planning, from the economy to the environment, from politics to education to a series of conferences organized by the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, the oldest scientific academy in the world – as one of its first members Galileo Galilei – which is been granted, the former President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano, the patronage permanent.
Institutional purpose of the Academy is to "promote, coordinate, integrate and disseminate scientific knowledge in their highest expression in the context of unity and universality of culture." To this end it organizes congresses, conferences, conventions and national and international seminars, and participates, with its members, similar events Italian and foreign. It also promotes and implements activities and research missions.
In Lucca are preparing six events of great interest cultural and scientific thought to a wide audience and to be held from March to November in the auditorium of the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca in Piazza San Martino.
Many nationwide names expected, who will offer insights on many aspects of current affairs: from environment to education and economy.
