This new production designed by Nico Gori, in collaboration with the 'Association Pisa Jazz, with the participation of some young musicians of Tuscany alongside established artists of the Tyrrhenian coast.
The tentet, which has also two entries in its workforce, male and female, has a repertoire formed by songs of the big band historical tradition of authors like Benny Goodman and Count Basie and original tracks by Gori, always inspired by the traditions of swing 30s and '40s.
Albeit with a workforce reduced compared to the classic big band arrangements, the sound refined and the choice of repertoire are designed to recover the relationship between music, performance and dance typical of large jazz orchestras of the time.
