The "House of the Child on a Dolphin", the Domus Romana in the center of Lucca was brought to light four years ago in Lucac, the city that hosted the 56 a.c. historical figures of the likes of Caesar, Pompey and Crassus, that first triumvirate that marked the end of the Republic and the birth of the Empire. Today the Domus Romana is a museum as well as an archaeological site, a multidisciplinary training and dissemination center that houses educational tour alongside moments seminars and congresses as well as exhibition.
Today the Domus puts the Numismatics in the program of activities.
With the project 'Pecunia at the Domus' it was launched the first collection of Roman Era Coins. Thanks to the advice of prof. Fiorenzo Catalli and the agreement of collaboration with the Numismatic Study Eugubium of Gubbio.
Coins enable everyone to relive the past and perform an important function as a medium of cultural enrichment and pleasure for the preservation of historical memory.
at 17:30 at the Museum will host the conference presentation and opening of the permanent exhibition "The coins of the triumvirate" by Prof. Fiorenzo Catalli.
