SHINING ROCK

The city of Pietrasanta promotes the exhibition of the sculptor Helidon Xhixha,  Albanian by birth, but internationally renown .
Sculptures in steel, marble and bronze created especially for this event. To the hi-tech steel shine, element with which the artist has always worked, is paired the rough stone, a material shaped by humans since the ancient times, and particularly valuable in Upper Versilia.
As the critic Luca Beatrice mentions in his introduction to the presentation of the exhibition: "Today Xhixha remains one of the most interesting sculptors on the international stage. In the historic square of Pietrasanta he combines his works with the architecture and landscape of the" Little Athens " not simply superimposing his mark, but looking for a relationship with the place, where his sculptures often act as a mirror ".

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday June 11th at 6:00 pm in the presence of the artist and of the local authorities.
