On 12 July 1664 the places cannons on adjacent walls to Porta San Donato, were made shoot to honor the memory of St. Paulinus Santo but accidentally shots were directed at the crowd that was in the area; not there were neither dead nor injured and this miracle was attributed at San Paolino. In his honor, with religious celebrations, the "Crossbow Palio" is also organized during which the archers representatives terzieri the city, St. Paulinus, St. Saviour and St. Martin are competing for prizes made annually by a contemporary author.
The archers of each terziere reach the place of dispute accompanied by a procession of people in costume and go up on the bunk in pairs, according to a draw. After fixing the crossbow try to hit the target, the pitcher, located 36 meters away.
