For the occasion of the "Festival of Museums" by Saturday, July 2, several initiatives will be organized throughout the day dedicated to adults and children, experts and beginners, and will be extended the opening hours of museums from 19.30 until at 22.30 at the symbolic price of 1 euro (except gratuity required by law).
Heritage for children: workshops and educational for children and families
9:30 am / 10:30 am, the path "Princesses, knights and monsters" begins in the halls of Villa Guinigi,
11:00 / 24:00 is followed by a visit to the Palazzo Mansi,
12.30 / 13:00 concludes with the observation of the facade of the Church of San Michele.

Villa Guinigi National Museum
16.30 / 18:00 talking with the director: you can ask questions or ask for curiosity directly to the Director of the National Museums of Lucca.
17.00 and 20.30 two guided visits "From the Etruscan civilization to the Logobardian cities", the archaeological collections of the National Museum of Villa Guinigi.
19.30 / 22:30 at the opening evening, visitors will have the opportunity to see the restoration workshop of the Museum accompanied by a restorer. Will present some works restored or being restored, providing explanations on the different painting techniques, the materials used and diagnostic tests.
Palazzo Mansi National Museum
hours 14:30 to 16:00 talking with the director: you can ask questions or ask for curiosity directly to the Director of the National Museums of Lucca.
17.00 and 20.30 two guided visits to the 800 collection: the second floor of the museum there is a rich selection of works created in the 'nineteenth century that makes clear the evolution of art and taste in Lucca in those years.
