CORSANICO FESTIVAL – Festival of organ music: La musica organistica in Spagna…

The  Monumental organ of Vincenzo Colonna and located in the Parish church of Corsanico devoted to St. Michael the Archangel was built between 1602 and 1606. This instrument, a masterpiece of Venetian handcratf, is a fine work with regard to the sound, the architecture and artistic shape. It has undergone over the years, several restorations but that of 1899 is the most significant, as from it derives much of the today's phonic arrangement.

In 1981 began the summer concert seasons destinated to acquire, for their unbroken continuity, the value of an established cultural tradition. The concert season of Corsanico, is considered today among the Italian top level seasons and has assumed a value recognized at international level. This is attested by the presence of many organists from all over the world, in addition to the most prestigious Italian performers, who succeeded at the keyboard of the valuable historical instrument.

Meraviglia del Barocco veneziano (The marvel of the Venetian Baroque), with il "Trio Sophia": Alessandra de Negri (soprano), Lilioan Stoimenov (trumpet), Marco Vincenzi (organ). Music by A. Caldara, C. F. Pollarolo, J. Rosenmueller, T. Albinoni, A. Vivaldi, G. Giordani, B. Galuppi.

Serata lirica: da Tosti a Puccini(Opera night, from Tosti to Puccini) with: Francesca Maionchi (soprano), Serena Suffredini (soprano), Laura Masini (mezzosoprano), Tommaso Martinelli (tenor), Graziano Polidori (bass), Nadia Lencioni (piano). Artistic Director Graziano Polidori. Music by F. P. Tosti, and G. Puccini.

Serata Gregoriana
