After the success of last year returns to the Galleria d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea Lorenzo Viani, Viareggio Over The Real, the International Video Art Festival that this year shares the location with Fondazione Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi.
The festival, directed by Maurizio Marco Tozzi and Lino Strangis, developes in four days, in which are presented the most significant emerging research topics of recent years in the international field of audiovisual arts. Among the many guests, in addition to artists, who are the video authors, there will be the top critics, curators and researchers in the industry.
It is confirmed the participation of Studio Azzurro that will hold a meeting titled Guardare in #retroprospettiva.
The event will be presented by Bruno Di Marino, historian of the moving image, curator and author of important books, who since 1989 is concerned with audiovisual experimentation.
The selection of the 44 works by authors from around the world, has again been entrusted to curators of international experience including Gabriel V. Soucheyre artistic director of the historic festival Videoformes of Clermont-Ferrand; Moreover Veronica D'Auria of the association C.A.R.M.A. from Rome curator of many initiatives both in Italy and abroad; Adonay Bermúdez Spanish curator who proposes the second edition of the Festival "Entre Islas" dedicated to islands' artistic realities.
