The International Festival of Folklore Camporgiano, now in its 40th edition, is organized by the Folklore association "La Muffrina" in collaboration with the Municipal Administration.
It takes place every year in the last decade of July at the municipal amphitheater of Camporgiano, in the streets and squares of the town. Groups guests, representatives of the 5 continents, are not professional, but amateurs and carries with them 'the most authentic traditions of the territory of origin.
The performances of dances, folk songs, stage of revival of rituals and specific nature of traditional folk, allow the comparison between different cultures, enabling the development of cultural exchanges, with the aim of safeguarding the identity and the creation of atmosphere suited to the spread of feelings of peace and solidarity between peoples.
