The event has become a highlight of August in high Garfagnana.
20 years ago ran for the first time the donkeys "Jackasses," sleeping ridden without whips and / or spurs … other asses!
The race involved eight, ten donkeys representing the same (self-critical and ironic) neighboring municipalities of Minucciano (LU) and Casola in Lunigiana (MS).
The competition consists of two semi-finals in which you choose the participants in the final challenge
At every turn challenge each other 5 or 6 donkeys, drawn at random and the first three winners to the finals. Both the semi-finals that the final donkeys have to travel the route three times.
