The open-air theater in the Park of Villa La Versiliana is home this year to the 37th edition of the eponymous Festival. A theatrical season that embraces two months of performances of great appeal in a balance between drama, dance, music and cabaret. A skilful combination of tradition and innovation.
50 are exactly the night shows, 47 titles with the big names of the Italian, theatre, dance and music scene and the coming back of the readings of classic literature on the pier, that this year are dedicated to Virgil's Aeneid. There will be national premières and the novelty of the Shakespearian sunsets dedicated to the Bard in the 400th death anniversary.
The theater program is complemented by the afternoon meetings at the Caffé (the famous live talk show launched by Romano Battaglia) to which participate personalities from the world of culture, politics, entertainment, science, who repropose the tradition of the typical cultural clubs of Versilia.
The children's space offers a playground–library, entertainment and performances dedicated to the Italian fairy tale. Last but not least several exhibitions are displayed in the exhibit premises of the Villa, in the former Pine-nuts Factory and in the park.
