INTERNATIONAL OPERA COMPETITION LA FENICE

A prestigious international opera competition dedicated to artists, who have contributed to improve the Opera and this year in particular to maestro Giuseppe Verdi and to the great tenor Mario del Monaco.

 

Contestants, during the preliminary round of September 30 and October 1st, are required to perform two of the four songs listed on the registration form and taken from operas repertory in the presence of a jury that will select a shortlist of twelve finalists.

The final / concert will take place at 4:00 pm on Sunday October 2nd. The finalists will perform, accompanied on the piano, in the presence of the jury and the voting public. Again the finalists will perform two songs, one of which will be chosen by the jury and communicated to each finalist at the end of the preliminary round. Participants to the "Giuseppe Verdi" section will also perform one of the tracks taken from the Verdi's operas.
 

There will be special awards entiteled to "Mario del Monaco" and "Giuseppe Verdi" as well as the prize "Joung Talent".

 

The ten finalists will receive a grant for a masterclass that will take place in a date yet to be defined.
