Alfabeto dei viaggi immaginati (Alphabet trips imagined) is a picture book with which Riccardo Massagli, won the third prize at the international competition for picture books of Schwanendstadt, and today is in bookstores, published by Di Marsico Books, and will be presented in (Lucca) with a conversation with the author edited by Cristiano Alberti and Anna Benedetto.
"The trips have imagined letters of a universal alphabet. They meet, repeat themselves. They form new combinations. Yet they are no more than a handful of ideas. Ideas ancient, great ideas, archetypes. It's how you use it, it is how to write and is how you read that makes the difference, "says the author who, besides being an elementary school teacher with a past as an art historian, has written and composed other works such as the children's novel" Journey to Nubicuculia "and music of the Luna Moth, of which he is a harpist and leader.
Through references to the great texts of all time, myths, novels, fairy tales, poems and short stories, Massagli accompanying illustrated tables with a summary which refers to the place where you made the journey, and the causes of that damage. The book will also be presented in the calendar of meetings of Lucca Junior, in late October in the Lucca Comics and Games festival.
