TEATRO DELL'OLIVO - Camaiore - Il berretto a sonagli

The Theater of Olivo besides beeing a place of entertainment is an architectural experience. It is located in the place that once hosted a wool puller; built during '500, the puller went bankrupt and its owner left the city. Only in 1649 the "Accademia dei Deboli" (Academy of the Weaks) , an association formed by a group of citizens from Camaiore, asked to reopen the building, so that it could host theatrical comedies and other stage performances.

The wide cultural offer of the present edition is modulated on ten shows. The program brings on stage the most representative actors and directors of the national scene: Ugo Chiti and Alessandro Benvenuti, Augusto Fornari and Nicolas Vaporidis, Sandro Lombardi e Massimo Verdastro, Sebastiano Lo Monaco, Catherine Spaak, Michele Sinisi and Ciro Masella.

Varied and diverse is the choice of entertainment, that this year propose interweavings between music and theater or cinema and theater, classical readings, couple dynamics, and the denunciation of injustices.

Miseria e nobilità – directed by Michele Sinisi. From the origina script of Edoardo Scarpetta of 1888 e from the movie of 1954 with Totò and Sofia Loren. Among the actors Ciro Masella.

Wednesday April 5
Degni di nota – Comparison recital between Giorgio Gaber and Georges Brassens. Ideators and actors Andrea Mirò and Alberto Patrucco. Production Fondazione Giorgio Gaber.
