World Press Photo 16 one of the most important international awards in the field of photojournalism.
This year the jury chose as "Photo of the Year 2015" an image of the Australian photographer Warren Richardson who worked on the border between Serbia and Hungary, telling the refugee crisis. The winning photograph, taken on the night of August 28, 2015, portrays a man who helps create a child through the barbed wire on the Serbian-Hungarian border at Röszke. The image has also won the first prize in the spot news. Richardson is a freelance photographer who lives and works in Budapest, Hungary.
Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2016 awarded to French photographer Scarlett Coten for Mectoub project, work began following the events of the Arab Spring and observing the changes in recent years are affecting the social dynamics in North Africa and the Middle East.
