CHRISTMAS CONCERT – Corsanico

The XVIII Choirs festival with the traditional Christmas concert offers a rich program of Christmas carols accompanied by organ music. The event takes place in the parish church of San Michele Arcangelo on Boxing Day and is organized by the cultural association "Amici della musica d'organo Vincenzo Colonna".

The Vincenzo Colonna monumental Organ is a valuable and historical instrument known in the world, making Corsanico a popular village. It was built between 1602 and 1606 by Vincenzo Colonna from Venice for the  San Francesco church in Lucca.

This year the event includes the participation of the following choirs:
"Corale San Michele Arcangelo" of Corsanico. Director: Carlo Palagi; Organist: Edoardo Barsotti.
"Cappella musicale Francesco Gasparini" of Camaiore. Director: Maria Vecoli; Organist: Daniela Iacopinelli.
"Corale Santa Cecilia" of Diecimo. Director: Lia Salotti; Organist: Maurizio Pierini.
"Corale F.M.I.R." – Cultural Association "Fortitudo Mea in Rota" of Carrara. Director: Giulio Meccheri.
