Camaiore is the municipality in Versilia, where the tradition of the crib is more rooted. Famous and very popular is the exhibition of nativity scenes that for over two decades has been enriching every year the main town churches and those of the hillside villages. To this tradition joins the one of living nativity enacting promoted by local committees and numerous associations.
On Boxing Day, from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, thanks to the success of last year, the living crib of Nocchi will be reproposed. The setting takes us back in time to about a hundred years ago, when in the village worked carpenters, blacksmiths, farmers and bakers, the shepherds came to sell their products and the women met at the washing pools to wash clothes or spun wool on 'home door.
In anticipation of the massive turnout, a shuttle bus service has been arranged. In case of rain the event will be postponed to Sunday, January 8, 2017.
