It is celebrated on 19 February, the International Tourist Guide Day, an event established in 1990 by WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) and promoted in Italy dall'ANGT (National Association of Tourist Guides).
The event has as its main objective is to enhance the professionalism of qualified tour guides, daily engaged to submit to Italian and foreign visitors the extraordinary landscape heritage, historical, artistic and cultural Italian.
