A tradition that had once graced the side events of the prades, with exclusive evening balls of great interest and much loved by the public. Also this year the Carnival Foundation wants to recover this tradition by organizing together with some accomodation facilities and with several discos, great events in the month dedicated to Carnival.
Numerous prestigious venues will host the extraordinary masked balls among which the historical Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, where on Saturday February 11 takes place a maked ball titled Il Novecento (The twentieth century). The requested dress code is "transparencies retrò and papillons".
From 7:30 pm the guests are invited in the veranda to sip an aperitif and eat some delicacies from the buffet. In addition, here will be also up a special themed photographic set and a small exhibition linked to the burlesque.
At 9:00 pm dinner will be served in the central hall. During dinner three burlesque artists will perform. Afterwards the party continues with music and dancing, a buffet of sweets and moscato wine.
A historical site that will become the stage of the masks. The purpouse of the Viareggio Carnival Masked Balls' organizers is to recover the meaning of the mask and the pleasure of dressing up, offering themed parties to stimulate the imagination and creativity of the public of Viareggio's Carnival. A tradition, that of the masked balls, proposed in a modern, youthful, but also appealing way in order to spark interest and engage all those who love to celebrate Carnival with style, challenging each other with the most beautiful original and fascinating costumes.
