LA PITTURA CHE SUONA – Gli strumenti musicali nell'arte medievale e rinascimentale

Trumpets, drums, bagpipes, bagpipes, violas, harps, flutes are porters, if represented in a work of art, of messages that go beyond the simple image. It's the subject of the meetings, structured as interviews with practical explanations, and accompanied by projections and musical performances, in which some works which illustrate the most salient pictorial-formal aspects and the historical framework are analyzed as symbolic and allegorical meanings linked to the representation of musical instruments.

Scheduled Saturday, March 3, at 16:00, at the National Museum of Villa Guinigi, Musical instruments in Medieval and Renaissance art. Introduction by Paolo Bolpagni, director of the Ragghianti Foundation. Stefano Albarello spoke for the history of music and musical instruments; Daniele Poli for the violin making technique, Mauro Lovi for pictorial techniques.
