A special competition is being held for the short film category involving a total of 23 works and and between these 10 are by women directors.
The authors come from all over the world. In their clips they return the picture of a world full of anxieties, obsessions, new technologies, fragmentation and new female identities in transit. The common thread that unites the works in competition is the search for identity and the deepest roots of existence, in a world where human contact becomes increasingly fragile and immaterial.
The short films section includes a very wide variety of styles and languages: from classic storytelling to animation, from visual influences to the sensory cinema.
Like every year, numerous Italian, international and local premieres.
Screenings will be held all at the Cinema Centrale of Lucca on the afternoons 4 and 6 April.
