On May 11th at the Fondazione Ragghianti will inaugurate an exhibition dedicated to Luciano Pera. He is a multifaceted artist who has always conjugated the research for the archaic and the ancestral, with a broad view of the evolving artistic landscape. The exhibition is not just a tribute to a great artist, but also a backward journey through time, to appreciate the tireless research that constantly guided Luciano Pera from the very beginning: an interdisciplinary, experimental reserach, always ready to compare the various aspects of scientific knowledge, of prehistoric civilizations and the artistic expressions of the past eras.
The exhibition presents, for the first time in Lucca, the extensive production of Luciano Pera through a selection of works from the 1940s to the most recent works of the artist: large and medium size sculptures made of an interesting variety of materials – marble types like white statuary, pink Portugal, black of Belgium, red of Collemandina, bronze, small ceramics, paintings and drawings, graphic works and bijoux made of very different materials will offer visitors the opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the artist and his world and to appreciate his profound variety of interests.
An exhibition to tell about a career and a life characterized by a creative, always multifaceted impetus and voted to "the endless". A "going further" his personal story and artistic journey, between distant and different styles, between techniques of all kinds.
