A concert for charity dedicated to Mauro Malatesta, historical trombonist of Barga Jazz Big Band, a teacher of the Trumpet and Trombone class of the "L. Boccherini" Musical Institute in Lucca where he taught for 27 years, Malatesta has failed now 11 years ago at just 51 years.
Sunday's concert was strongly wanted by his students, many of whom today are well-established professionals in the world of classical music and jazz. During the evening, various brass ensembles will be attended by Andrea Guzzoletti, Andrea Tofanelli, Claudio Rossi, Stefano Benedetti and Silvio Bernardi among others. Andrea Dell'Ira, Marcello Angeli, Marco Bartalini, Alessio Bianchi and Battista Ceragioli. Introduces the evening with Prof. Renzo Cresti.
In closing, the BargaJazz Big Band performs, a session in which Mauro has been playing for over 20 years.
The entrance is on offer and the proceeds will be donated to the Misericordia del Barghigiano association.
