Last appointment before the summer break of the seventh round of music history meeting 'Friday I'm in Love': René Bassani reveals the secrets of this musical genre, an anarchic, subversive, revolutionary art born of nightmares and The ruins of a nation reietta, through the music that characterized it and which, still today, is a source of inspiration for many groups and musicians.
Kraut-Rock is a term that defines the music scene of the Seventies in Germany, to which is due the fusion of progressive music, typical of the period and German electronic music of the previous decades.
With this definition, there are groups that are sometimes very different and one of the most popular groups that is part of this scene are definitely the Kraftwerk, which is the birth of techno music.
Many artists have been influenced by this scene: David Bowie with his so-called 'Berlinese trilogy', as well as many new wave, shoegaze, post-rock and techno groups. In addition, this musical genre was fundamental to the birth and evolution of ambient and new age music.
