In the conference, Pier Giuliano Cecchi of the Lucchese Historical Institute Barga section talks about life of the artist and his relationship with the hometown. To follow, the intervention of Cristian Tognarellit collector and expert of the artist. The speaks will be accompanied, for the very first time, by images of all 30 works related to calcographic production.
Vittorini was inspired by particular cultural climate of the Serchio Valley and, after the initial attention to the Macchiaioli and Cezanne sintesis, reached a personal pictorial figure. The exhibition is part of the line of studies, discussions and exhibitions that Ricci Foundation dedicated years the big names linked to the Serchio Valley (including G. Pascoli, A. Magri, GB Santini, A. Balduini) that have left a mark in the memory and history of the area.
