From April 24 to November 1, 2026, the Puccini Museum, in collaboration with the Museo del Tessuto in Prato, will dedicate a special event the Maestro’s last work.
The exhibition begins with the world premiere at La Scala in 1926, with documents and photographs, and then focuses on the original costumes from the premiere. Moreover, Galileo Chini’s sketches convey the colours and atmosphere of the stage.
The second section looks at subsequent productions, with Umberto Brunelleschi’s costume designs and one of the museum’s most iconic pieces: the costume from the New York premiere, donated by Maria Jeritza, the production’s star.
