From July 19th to August 30th, the BargaJazz Festival will be a special edition, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
The event will take place in Barga and several other towns in the province of Lucca.
As always, the core of the festival is the jazz orchestra arrangement and composition competition, this year dedicated to Stevie Wonder, a composer who, despite belonging to the world of soul and pop, has had a profound influence on all contemporary music and to whom many jazz musicians have paid tribute.
Guest of the BargaJazz Orchestra will be Grègoire Maret,.
The Festival also includes the Barga Jazz Contest, educational activities and some collateral events.
